Abstract
An eight-year-old, intact male Chihuahua was presented to Cornell University's Hospital for Animals Emergency Service on referral for a week-long history of inappetence, vomiting, weight loss, and increasing lethargy. Bloodwork performed by the primary care veterinarian prior to referral raised concerns of acute kidney injury or acute on chronic kidney failure.
