The Workforce Expansion through STEM Education (WE-STEM) program will leverage a strategic partnership between CCMR, AMT, Windsor Central School District, and Binghamton City School District to offer both core academic and applied technical curricula to high school students through a blended formal and informal learning strategy. This proposal will evaluate and modify existing applied economics programs in Windsor and Binghamton to align with current local and future manufacturing workforce needs. This pilot project will initially focus on the Windsor & Binghamton school districts. Following a successful launch, the project will serve the eight-county region of the Southern Tier of New York State by developing a diverse STEM workforce to advance manufacturing and support the industries of tomorrow.
