Biography
Biographical Statement
A major emphasis of my current outreach work focuses on energy efficiency issues in residential buildings. Working closely with Extension Professor Joseph Laquatra, we are starting the sixth year of the Consumer Education Program for Residential Energy Efficiency. This program, a joint project of the Department of Design and Environmental Analysis, 32 Cornell Cooperative Extension Associations, and New York State Research and Development Authority, educates New Yorkers in ways to make their homes more energy efficient and reduce home energy-related costs.
I also work closely with Professor Joseph Laquatra and Professor Lorraine Maxwell to develop and implement educational programs based on the Healthy Living and Learning Environments research project.
In addition to work in these two specific areas I spend significant amounts of time on outreach efforts directed at Extension Associations, professional groups and citizens throughout New York State on a variety of issues related to the built environment.
