Twentieth Annual Announcement of the Technical Departments In Lafayette College, Easton, Pa.  PARDEE HALL, erected for the use of the Technical Departments, was formally opened and dedicated October 21st, 1873.  It cost more than a quarter of a million of dollars, and is the munificent gift of Ario Pardee, Esq., of Hazleton, Pa.

The Technical Departments were organized in 1866, and include the following courses of study, viz.: 
I. CIVIL ENGINEERING. 
II. MINING ENGINEERING. 
III. CHEMISTRY.  
Graduates in the first course receive the degree of Civil Engineer (C. E.); those in the second, Engineer of Mines (E. M.); and those in the third, Bachelor of Science (B. S. in Chemistry).  Students are also allowed to pursue SPECIAL STUDIES in Engineering, etc., and upon passing a satisfactory examination therein, may obtain Certificates of the same.  For further information, or for Catalogues, address J. G. Fox, J. M. Silliman, or Edward Hart, Professors respectively of the above Departments, Lafayette College, Easton, Pa.
