Biography
Biographical Statement
Since 1992 Suzanne has been a consultant for development agencies in Africa. She designs, reviews and evaluates health and nutrition components and participatory approaches in food security and nutrition programs as well as in poverty reduction and emergency preparedness programs in developing countries. Her research uses qualitative methods and participatory approaches at the community level.
Her past studies included a participatory action research in Burkina Faso engaging community leaders in the development of a local food security surveillance system leading to effective actions that reduced hunger and food insecurity in the household level. This study examined the determinants of action in decision-makers at the community and household levels.
