| Abstract: | Although six species of tetranychid mites have been
reported as attacking apple in New York, only the European
red mite, Panonychus ulmi (Koch), is at present of general
economic concern. Occasionally, the two-spotted spider
mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch, is troublesome late in the
growing season. Such infestations, however, are sporadic
and localized. Acaricidal evaluations in 1973 were conducted
only against the European red mite. |
